We’re a small, Veteran family owned business based out of West Portsmouth, OH. We run our business off a few simple principals – respect, pride, craftsmanship and superior customer service. Here at DK Custom Coatings, we can take your concept and make it a reality. We specialize in Cerakote®, laser work and Sig grip modules for variations of the Sig P365 and Sig P320 series pistols. We can coat anything from firearm parts, knives, cups, fishing equipment, to pens and automotive parts.
Super fast shipping and customer service is very fast at responding and super polite. 10/10 would recommend.
I'll spare you the details, but what ensued from this was some unpleasant back and forth conversations with the owner when we asked if there was anything they could do or, at the very least, if they could make a note of not being CA compliant on their website for future customers.
I hope they do add a note to their website and that they work on their customer service skills because they seem to think that customer service ends when a transaction is over and chose to treat me in an ungracious manner. There was some misunderstanding that led to this (they thought I was saying it was their fault that we ordered something that didn't work), nevertheless the email I received from them was unprofessional.
We have done our best to resolve the matter, but I still wanted to let people know that dealing with the owner may not be the most pleasant depending on your situation. I hope that he works on his interpersonal communication skills. I personally will not be doing business with them again.

This is a hard one to write but as always, we want to remain transparent to our customers and our community.
I received this email yesterday from a customer inquiring about a part that`s been out of stock for a while and it really just hit differently. As you can see on our website, a lot of stuff is out of stock.
So here`s the truth. We ordered modules from SIG at the beginning of April. As always, we always ordered extra and we placed the order ahead of time before running out. That was six weeks ago and we haven`t received a meaningful update since. There`s three things I do know - 1. SIG has an active inventory of modules, but it`s reserved for their retail sales (their website) and new builds. I was told that they were working into pulling from that inventory to send some to us but nothing came of it
2. We`ve been given three to four different ship dates, none of them were right, and none have been shipped out.
3. Larger distributors and shops have been restocked with modules within the past seven days, yet we haven`t even received an ETA for ours.
We don`t know if there`s ulterior reasons or motives behind this. We don`t know how much longer it`ll be. We don`t know if we have the energy to keep pursuing this with SIG. To be completely honest, the entire “It Ends Today” situation created a major trust gap for a lot of people. Some customers walked away from the brand entirely, and we would be lying if we said our business hasn’t felt the ripple effects of how the P320 situation was handled.
Business aside, knowing that other places got their orders before we even got an update on ours feels pretty back stabbing ish
I do apologize to everyone waiting. If we had a crystal ball and had the ability to look into the future, we would`ve made sure to find a way to avoid this. We don`t control what they do or how they do it. After this post I wouldn`t be surprised if we get cut off by SIG but if they`re living by the whole "it ends today" shenanigans - we`re simply not going to go down with that.
Our books are open, we will continue to do business as we always have. We`ll keep everyone notified.
We`ll see how this plays out.

Glock slide finished in stainless ceramic coating.
Currently, most of the single color, disassembled parts have a 5-7 work day turnaround time.
That gauge is a coating thickness gauge. The desired thickness is one to two mils. As you can see, we`re well within that range and the 10 tests showed consistent coating thickness throughout the slide.
We constantly check our work for many reasons.
It keeps us accountable to our customers and ourselves.
It ensures our technique and application remains consistent.
We strive to give each and everyone of our customers the best possible work we can create.
Although this is a simple single color job, it`s very important to us that it`s right and we do this constantly on every project to ensure quality.

California Residents
If you`re planning on buying from us, or anyone else for that matter, make sure you`re reading through the terms your state has put in place, and the terms businesses have put in place in order to make a sale to a resident of said state.
We genuinely don`t care what your opinions is on the matter or whether you`re law enforcement or fist responder in that state. If regular people have to go through the stupidity California has set in place, EVERYONE in that state will go through it as well. Your job, title or position means nothing to us. It`s either fair or impartial, or no one has to go through the process - you guys have the ability to vote and speak up for your state. Complaining to us only gives you a false sense of achievement... Which is about as dumb as it gets.
From today on, anyone from California that can`t read the instructions on our website before clicking through and placing an order will get charged the 10% restocking fee. You`re going to start all the way over with 10% less of the cost of that order. Every single transaction has credit card fees and our time to restock the item isn`t free. We won`t eat that cost because someone didn`t slow down enough to use basic 3rd grade reading fundamentals.
If you like it, good. If not, move the fk on... We dont care. Take it up with your Governor.
